<p>R. Stanley Collum of Wagener, S.C. graduated peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.</p> <p>Mr. Collum was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was employed by SRS until his retirement in 2002. He served on the South Carolina Forestry Commission, as well.</p> <p>Mr. Stan was an avid outdoorsman and devoted many personal hours to hunting and fishing with a younger generation, who just seemed to gravitate toward him. He encouraged quality moral and ethical behavior in these young people by simply being himself. Mr. Stan was a talented artist, especially with various waterfowl carving. He was a skilled conversationalist on any topic and never met a stranger. Mr. Stan also enjoyed Clemson football.</p> <p>Mr. Collum was the son of the late Robert L. and Evelyn Starnes Collum.&nbsp;He is&nbsp;survived&nbsp;by his loving wife of 53 years, Gloria P. Collum, and a daughter, Heather Collum Flowers, and her husband, Tim; as well as two sons, Robert Stanley Collum, II (Jodee), and his wife Lynn; and Clinton &quot;Clint&quot; Cameron Collum and his wife, Carole. &quot;Opa&quot; is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Etta, Claire, Evan, Hayden, and Colton; and a brother Steve Collum and his wife, Nancy, along with their children, Caroline, and Erica.</p> <p>The family wishes to thank Agape Hospice for the love and care extended&nbsp;to Mr. Collum and their entire family during this difficult time.</p> <p>The family will receive friends in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Wagener,&nbsp;from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, with the funeral service to follow&nbsp;at 11:30 a.m.&nbsp;Military honors will be rendered by the United States Air Force.</p> <p>&ldquo;To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.&rdquo;&nbsp; &nbsp;II Corinthians 5:8</p> <p>THE BEST IS YET TO COME&hellip;</p> <p>The family asks that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Wagener at P. R. Stanley Collum of Wagener, S.C. graduated peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

Mr. Collum was the son of the late Robert L. and Evelyn Starnes Collum. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gloria P. Collum, and a daughter, Heather Collum Flowers, and her husband, Tim; as well as two sons, Robert Stanley Collum, II (Jodee), and his wife Lynn; and Clinton "Clint" Cameron Collum and his wife, Carole. "Opa" is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Etta, Claire, Evan, Hayden, and Colton; and a brother Steve Collum and his wife, Nancy, along with their children, Caroline, and Erica.

The family wishes to thank Agape Hospice for the love and care extended to Mr. Collum and their entire family during this difficult time.
